So of all the brands my girls have worn since they were born – and believe me, the combination of fashionista mother and kids fashion blogger has meant exposure to many, many brands – ilovegorgeous would have to be their total favourite. Launched in 2006 and by friends Sophie and Lucy – it has grown into a brand with a £2 million annual turnover, a strong celebrity following and international sales from top stores around the world from Selfridges in London to Barneys in New York.
I can’t explain why other than when their have worn their dresses, they feel really, well, gorgeous, and kind of proud of themselves. They waft around with their little heads raised high. It’s how you want your girls to feel. Confident. Good about themselves. Here they are twirling age 4.
And walking and twirling again age 8.
For many years I have asked my contacts at the brand as to why they have not created boys clothes. As we all know – well, kids fashion bloggers and mothers of boys, mainly – that there is a distinct lack of great boys fashion.
Well, the time has come – they have listened to their customers and we welcome the arrival Autumn/Winter 2016 season of…..Wild & Gorgeous – the re-branded ilovegorgeous to encompass their new line of boys clothes too. Here’s a sneak peek. It’s such a sneak peek that they haven’t even shot images yet – I love to deliver a scoop!
Here’s how their new branding will look. I am delighted of course as it is in my favourite colour, orange.
They are in the process of smashing records with their crowd-funding campaign on Crowdcube to fund their boys line and a further expansion for the brand, so if you fancy a dabble have a look – but make sure you read the small print!
So come August your boys can finally get the look at Wild & Gorgeous – get busy.
