Holiday Dreaming – LUX Resorts

OMG. It is BITTERLY cold in the UK. My fingers are almost frostbitten as I type this. The husband/heating arguments are in full bloom. It’s time to take ourselves off somewhere. Somewhere warmer. To a little bit of Paradise.

Ahhh – now that almost feels a bit bit better already eh?

My family and I have just returned from a holiday to the very beautiful island of Mauritius. When we were there, we spent a brilliant day at LUX Resorts flagship resort, LUX Belle Mare.

Now, LUX Resorts were not really on my radar until Penny from Heidi Klein told me it was one of her favourite family resorts when I interviewed her. In fact she has created a bespoke line of bikinis especially for them. I hate to say it but I had the impression prior to that, that they were a brand that was aspiring to be Luxury – hence the name. Oh how very, very, VERY wrong I was.

Switch that baby brain on and cast your mind back to those heady days of summer. Remember – the warm breeze, brushing against your tanned, toned skin? OK – my baby brain took me into Kate Moss’ body – I’ll correct that – remember the warmth of the sun on your skin? The sand, the sea, the s…..creaming kids?

Stylish. Synchronised. Sisters. Splash. Actually…splat! But we don’t need to see that…

Well, today whilst we can’t make the sun warm and shine BUT we can give you some great style tips for next summer. That’s because today, we interview Heidi Gosman from heidi klein and let me tell you – she OWNS summer holiday style!

In 2002 Heidi Gosman and Penny Klein launched heidi klein one stop holiday shop in London’s Westbourne Grove. From this, they have grown to a second store and a super successful own-brand that sells in over 150 stores in 39 countries globally. Celebrity fans include Kate Moss, Olivia Palermo and Jennifer Aniston. KidZania is Insania!

Whilst you’re finally through HTH (Half Term Hell) I thought I would introduce you to the best thing to happen to kids since Disneyland, Universal and all those now, rather MEH kids adventure parks so that school holidays at home, need never be painful again. KidZania.

This is from KidZania Seoul

Those of you who live in West London, may have seen some rather strange goings on, on top of Westfield shopping centre over the last year. This will explain it. This child-size city is the equivalent in size to Leicester Square, with the ceiling height of Heathrow Terminal Five, and is the UK’s first Educational Entertainment Experience.

KidZania London is a real-life introduction to the world of work, representing experiential learning at its very best, where children begin to understand and learn for themselves the nature of work, the diversity and function of businesses, and its overall contribution to well-being and prosperity in our world today – all in a way that is quite the opposite of boring.
