Spring is in the air – and who better to take us though what you need in your kids wardrobes this Spring/Summer than a very big store with a very big, very amazing kids department – Selfridges. Here’s their hand picked list by Selfridges Kidswear and Toy Buyer (dream job anyone??) Jessica King. Oh we do so like to go the extra style mile for our readers.
Arguably – Selfridges is one of the few places that has more stylish kids clothes than my own girls wardrobes.
So guys – stick those woolies at the back of the wardrobe and let’s jump feet first into Spring.
1. Statement sweats
‘With street-wear having a resurgence there’s no better way to wear it then by sporting a statement sweat to channel skater cool’. Love this by Eleven Paris £29.
2. One pieces
‘Swimwear takes inspiration from the 1950’s this season with the popularity of the one-piece the more detail and pattern the better!’ This one by Agnes Valentine £55 nails it!
3. Statement tees
‘Logo or statement tees are an ideal take on effortless summer style, worn with shorts and vans or over a floral skirt – it’s the perfect unisex item!’ This one by Diesel is top of my wish list from £14.
‘The catwalk has gone jungle print crazy and Kidswear has a great offering – from tiger motif tops to leopard print-style bottles; there’s a print to bring out every child’s wild side!’ Rock Star Baby gift set £51.
My favourite is this pineapple print jumper by Scotch Shrunk £55.’ Shame they got their fruits confused though…
‘Camouflage print can be worn as subtly or boldly as desired for Spring Summer, with the print cropping up in numerous collections. My choice would be this Armani Junior polo (from £90), the turquoise print makes it fun and more playful!’
8. Urban City
With the themes of skate and surf influencing both girl’s and boy’s fashion, what better way to wear the trend then with a pair of trainers? These Supra high tops £52 make a strong statement whilst being practical for playing!’
Oh I do so love going into a new season with a list. Thank you so much to Jessica from Selfridges for sharing with us. And wipe those tears if Selfridges is not your budget – keep your eye on the blog as we often do a Fash Off where we find alternatives to designer buys.
Spend more spend less – we don’t care – as long as you keep them kids stylish!
