The tiniest female fashion icon turns one on Monday 2nd May – Princess Charlotte. There has been much in the press over the last week about the way the Duchess dresses her kids – even I have had my say in the Mail Online. The Duchess has a very specific style for Charlotte – traditional, very Spanish, muted tones, lots of ditsy florals, collars and smocking. My mother used to dress me like that. Until I was 13. No lie. Anyway – I survived – so here’s how to get her look for less for your very own princess with my Top 10. Let’s go…
Her dress in this picture is by Spanish brand M&H and costs a mere £21. Compare that to what the celebrities spend on their kids outfits eh?
A good match for the cardigan is this baby pink cashmere cardigan £40 Next.
Or if you like this look but prefer to pay even less – this cardigan works and is also available in a whole rainbow of colours. £10.99 Zara Kids.
This dress from the super beautiful Louise Wilkinson exclusive collection for the M&S Autograph range is spot on and £20.
Love this jacquard dress from Zara Kids and at £8.99 it’s a royal bargain!
Pepa&Co have an exact match to the cardigan she wore to the Queen’s birthday celebrations and it’s now £16.80.
OK so not floral, but very regal. Grey tweed dress from £21 Next.
A slight departure colour-wise, but not collar-wise! Broderie collar dress from £24 Mini Boden.
Three pack cable knit socks £3 George at Asda.
Pair any of the above looks with these Early Days Emma pre-walkers (available in a multitude of colours) £29 from Childrensalon and she will be good to go. Quite literally.
So there you go – a royal look for a very common price! Get busy…
