How to Outsmarty with your Party

So big news Stateside – AKA my spiritual home, are themed birthday parties. And I mean BIG news. As are Kids Party Planners, Kids caterers, hugely bratty kids etc etc. So I thought I’d give it a try for my girls’ 5th birthday party and throw a RAINBOW party. I hired an absolute GENIUS party planner (who knew?)….moi. And baker extraordinaire (under my NIGHTMARE CONTROL-FREAK watchful eye) who is mum from school ( and is very very clever.

If only they listened like that to us!

Everything had to be done to the nth degree. Let’s dig down into the detail. Oooooh lookey here at these Rainbow Push Pops. THE latest thing darlings. Cake pops, cupcakes – pah so yesterday!

Rainbow nom nom

And these rainbow fruit cups. Made with love by moi. Like birth, painstaking but worth it after….

Ooooooooh Fruuuuuity

Sprinkle covered white chocolate popcorn in vintage-look containers. These quite frankly had some parents fighting over them with their kids.

Super yum

We don’t do small. Nooooo. GIANT (3 foot!) round balloons in rainbow colours (green popped and pink was a requested bonus by the girls!). People, make no mistake – SIZE MATTERS! From Oscars Den.

Balloon Envy? Size Matters....

No stone was left unturned. Even the Highland Spring water had rainbow’s on it. And it was noticed!  The sweets were Smarties and Skittles bien sur (rainbow rainbow rainbow). Oh I am such a SADDO! But oh sooooooo good!

All the kids got into the theme – some looked hey ho and some wahhhay! Especially mine in Kicokids. View here….

Rainbow Party Girls

And last but not least check the themed GHP. No stone….

Rainbow sugar rush

I think it was worth it. The kids had a ball. The parents had an equal ball. Am so pleased it’s over, but people – the party bar is set……

PS Darlings, I’m no cookery site but if you want any of the recipes I am very happy to share them. Just ask. Very nicely…

Thanks for the tips Suki… Party planners always makes the difference as they are the professionals in their field. Kids and adults always love to have a themed party with sweets, chocolates and ice-creams near them..
