Cereal Killer Cafe

I went somewhere for breakfast with the kids recently that has become their new favourite outing and therefore the latest weapon in my bribery arsenal. Cereal Killer Cafe.

I am sure you are aware of the trend for single-item restaurants which are big news in the food world. Well, this the first speciality Cereal Cafe in the UK and was the dream of Gary and Alan Keery – who like all the coolest people in the world, are twins (not that I am biased…actually I am).

Obsessed with everything cereal they offer you over 120 different types of cereal from around the world. To create the perfect bowl of cereal you can choose from 30 different varieties of milk (chocolate of course, but salted caramel? Yes please) and 20 different toppings – my girls sprinkle theirs with Reeses pieces. And if you need inspiration – they have cereal cocktails to help you select.

The cafe houses hundreds of pieces of memorabilia from the 80s and 90s and shows TV shows from that same period for you to reminisce over whilst your kids come up on their sugar high.

The design of the cafe is pared back retro cool. The walls have art made up of Cereal Packet freebies. The pendant lights are made from cereal branded bowls. The seating in one half of the restaurant is on beds.

You know the saying – eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Queen and supper like a pauper? At this place your Princes and Princesses can feast all day like royalty. Get busy.
