If I’m honest – which as you well know I always am – often to the point of foot in mouth – but whatevs – I never would have believed I’d be writing a blog title like this. Marie Chantal X good old M&S? Who’s have thought it? But boy, is it a thing, and boy is it good. Look here.
Now as you all know, I do so love the sound of my own voice. And I am ever so nosy. So I am really loving the side of my work that gets me to video interview some very interesting people involved in the world of kids fashion. I wrote a few months back about the impending move of ilovegorgeous into boyswear and it’s re-brand to Wild & Gorgeous to accommodate it’s new format. And today, I have for you an exclusive video interview with the founders of this brilliant brand Sophie Worthington and Lucy Enfield with some even more exclusive scoops about what’s coming next.
But first, some very tasty clothes morsels for you…
Just because Halloween is a festival of fright, doesn’t mean your kids need to look frightful. I mean, in what they wear. Looks, I’m afraid I cannot help with.
I digress. Oh yes, we all know you can buy costumes from party shops or supermarkets (do not get the clown masks though!!!!) but even the supermarkets have some faboooolously stylish pieces that work super well for any party or trick or treating. So, without further ado, here are my Top 10 pieces.
First up – Mini Miss KG Roarsome glitter skate shoes from £60.00 Selfridges.
We do love a new brand. Addendum. We do love a stylish new brand. And today, we have one of those rare beasts and it is EPIC.
Outside the Lines is a new girlswear brand offering a “carefully considered” clothing collection for girls age 3-10.
And considered it is. From the soft muted colours, to the understated luxurious materials, and of course the details. It’s all about the details. The trims, the little twists on wardrobe staples like the Breton top with foil collar, the tutu with a beautifully beaded waistline. Yummy.
Halloween is almost here! And for those of you who find yourself supergluing a misshapen bat wing onto an old gym t-shirt the night before Halloween, this post is a warning to you – be prepared! Now, I am not criticizing homemade costumes – if you can do it and do it well, I raise my glass to you! But for the rest of us, buying is the only way.
Why leave Halloween costumes to the last minute when you can simply order them online now and let the stress melt away? That is what I plan on doing, and Tutu Du Monde‘s beautiful Halloween collection is where I shall start, and probably end my browsing!
