Spring is kind of happening. The clocks are changing shortly, there’s a whisper of warmth in the sun, blossom has started to come out. It’s time to get your kids planting. Let them see if they have what it takes to be a good mummy or daddy, and consider someone other than themselves. Feeding, watering – watching it grow. And I have the perfect vessels for this – Peropons. Look at these playful guys…
Let me tell you about an exciting discovery for kids rooms. No – nothing that self-cleans I’m afraid – though can someone please invent that asap?? This is something that will literally light up your kids worlds – and maybe yours too. Look…
Can you bear it?? Here is more.
Anyone that knows me, knows that I am still in many many ways a small child. I really need to get my own way. As an extension of this – I can throw tantrums – sometimes involving foot stamping. I prefer to eat crisps and chocolate rather than a real meal. I also have a slightly concerning obsession with Hello Kitty and anything cute or Kawaii – as us professionals of cuteness call it. I also like to collect things – as a kid – mainly perfume samples, and as an adult – shoes and bags. And today’s post, falls very neatly into that category.
Made by the creators of another super cute collectible obsession in our house – Sonny Angels – Smiski is a fun little creature that glows in the dark and likes to hide in the corner.
These are curious creatures that love hiding in small spaces and corners of your room.
Although they like to stay hidden, you might discover one at night as they mysteriously glow in the dark. It is interesting to see the many types of Smiski all with different personalities.
However, just why the exist in the first place, nobody quite knows. Actually I do – it’s so saddos like me buy them, because we still have this hangover from our youth about collecting things that we want our kids to embrace.
Like their more colourful, bottom-out cousins Sonny Angels, these guys are too sold in a blind box – so it’s a surprise what you get.
And what I like about these, over the Sonny Angels, is that these are great for boys to collect too – the Sonny Angels are a bit girly. These are Series 1 and there are 7 to collect. They cost around £3.50 plus shipping from Sonny Angels.
Get kawaii collectible busy.
If you have kids that are in to music, and want to turn it UP UP UP, then I have something for you today!
The Berlin Boombox is designed by Berlin-based designer Axel Pfaender. He decided it was time for a cool and fun mobile speaker … a sound system you want to show off, like the ghetto blasters of the 1980s. Old school, people.
It has the movement kinetics resembling tilting dolls: once pushed, it returns to the upright position in series of slowing tilts. When the baby moves his hands and feet in the bed, the crib gently rocks on it’s own, putting the child back to sleep. The crib has a stopper ring that makes overturning impossible.
