Did anyone else let our a giant WHOOP of yesterday (once the kisses and assurances that everything was going to be OK) on your kids’ first day back at school? I’ll start. ME! Now don’t get me wrong. I do adore my kids. Just in ever so slightly smaller doses than you get from 24/7 for 8 weeks on the trot. Like THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSS (insert giant hand width) MUCH!
Now, as well as back to school heralding the end of summer – it also means the start of winter. Not in the literal sense, but most certainly in the wardrobe sense. And as always at KSJ HQ, we like our readers to be on top on trends. So over the coming weeks, we shall be paying attention to our fave AW16 trends and how to get the look for them kids. Today – it’s purrrrrrrrrrfecty obviously, about cats. My favourite type of cat. One that is not a living actual creature. So, to the CATwalks we go…
First up Gucci. My complete obsession and unrequited love – largely due to my epic fail of not having married a billionaire. Next we have Loewe – which I was told, in a very passive-agressive way some years ago by a complete bit£% i used to work with at a designer fashion brand, is pronounced Low-aire-vey. Whatevs – they too had cats!
So here is how it works for kids.
First up is the mini me of course by Gucci of course. A relative (well compared to the adult line anyway) snip at £237 from Childsplay Clothing.
I love this Bowie-esque cat number by River Island. And this is a real snip at £12.
It’s not quite the real thing – but of you take off your glasses or squint, it could look like the real Gucci deal, yet it is £9.99 by H&M.
This skirt by Pan Con Chocolate is fun, designer and £40 from Childrensalon.
Let the memory of the genius designer Sonia Rykiel live on in this fun dress by Rykiel Enfant £89.05 from Smallable.
This super soft, super slouchy sweat by Wildfox says what one of my daughters says to me ALL THE TIME. Yeh right. Any kids aged 9 only need like 6 hours sleep!!! NOT. From £53 alexandalexa.
This Mini Boden tee is so Gucci I have had to buy it for my own kids. From £13.20 (usually 20% more but they have a discount going – yay!).
And to carry? A velvet (trend for AW16 tick) mustard (trend for AW16 tick) backpack by Zara £17.99.
These tights are by the brilliant brand Raspberry Plum and will jazz up even the dullest look for £16.
How about these sneakers by Charlotte Olympia from her fab (albeit not cheap) Incy line £195 to finish off a great feline look?
So there you have it, thanks to us at KSJ HQ, your own little kittens can look simply purrrrrrrrrrrrfect with this Top 10. Get involved.
